Alexandra Stan is an Romanian singer. In late 2009 she released her debut single, “Lollipop (Param Pam Pam)”. In the United States mainstream radios she peaked at number-eighteen in early 2010. Her second release, “Mr. Saxobeat”, became her worldwide breakthrough hit. Selling almost 1,000,000 copies in less than a year and reaching the top five in over twenty countries, such as The Netherlands, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, and the top 10 in Australia, plus top 30 in Canada and United States. She released her debut album in August 2011, titled Saxobeats. The album spawned two more singles: “Get Back (ASAP)” and “1,000,000” (Million), the latter featuring rapper Carlprit. On 4 June 2012, she released a new single, “Lemonade”, which has over 50 million views, as of 28 May 2013.
Alexandra Stan’s third studio album, Alesta, was released in a similar procedure to its predecessor, spawning a collaboration with Romanian singer Inna and American reggaeton performer Daddy Yankee on “We Wanna”, and “I Did It, Mama!, which reached the top ten in Romania.
